| DBC Members dropping off their donation |
Earlier this year, we were contacted by Deb Ford of the
Davis Bike Club announcing that the newly created "
April Alpinsanity" fundraiser would benefit the Food Bank of Yolo County (FBYC). Today, a crew from the DBC rode from Davis to FBYC's location in Woodland to drop off the proceeds from their event.
The goal behind Alpinsanity was to donate .05 for every 100 feet in elevation ridden. In total, 48 DBC members rode 1,056,100 feet! Thanks to this effort, FBYC, along with Davis Bicycles, received a donation of $338.78, which will help provide $5,759.26 worth of food value.
